E.S.K.A. Nationals 2009

 

 

The E.S.K.A. Nationals are held at the Kobushi Dojo every year and have proved to be very successful for all clubs and Karateka that enter.

 

It's an all day event and is thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

 

Trophies are awarded to those who finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, in all events, these range from Team kata to pee-wee kumite.

 

The Nationals were held on Sunday the 18th October this year.

 

Children's Kata 10th - 7th Kyu.(5-15 years)

Children's Kata 6th - 2nd  Kyu (5-15 years)

Children's Kata 1st Kyu and above(5-15 years)

 

Junior Grades Kata 10th - 4th Kyu(16 years and above)

Men's Kata 3rd Kyu and above(16 years and over)

Ladies Kata 3rd Kyu and above.(16 years and over)

Pee wee Kumite Up to 8 Years.

Pee wee Kumite 9 - 11 Years.

 

Children's Kumite 10th - 5th Kyu 12 - 15 Years

Children's Kumite 4th Kyu and above 12 - 15 Years.

1 out of a possible 2 - Spirit Awards

 

Overall Kobushi 32 out of a possible 89 Trophies = 37%

Overall Widnes 17 out of 89 Trophies = 19 %

Overall Kokoro 20 out of 89 Trophies = 22%

Overall Windmill Hill 4 out of 89 Trophies = 4%

Overall Sangaku 13 out of 89 Trophies = 14%

Overall Moore Go Ju Ru 2 out of 89 Trophies = 2%

 

Out of 27 students from Kobushi that attended the Nationals 17 won at least one Trophy.

 

Well done to all who entered and hope we are as successful next year as in previous years.
